The Prefect of the Province of Brescia, Andrea Polichetti, visited the headquarters of the Coast Guard located in Salò, where he was welcomed by Commander C.F. (CP) Antonello Ragadale. During the meeting, the Prefect had the opportunity to explore the offices of the Unit and the Operations Room, from which rescue operations in the lake basin are coordinated, active 24 hours a day thanks to the Operational Rescue Protocol signed in 2018 with the Prefectures of Brescia, Verona, and Trento.
Together with the Director of the Garda and Idro Basin Authority, Ing. Fausta Tonni, Polichetti discussed issues concerning navigation safety in anticipation of the Public Order and Safety Committee scheduled for April 2 in Desenzano del Garda. During this meeting, topics related to the upcoming summer season will be addressed with the Police Forces and the Mayors of the lakeside municipalities. The Prefect expressed his gratitude to the Coast Guard personnel for their ongoing commitment to rescue operations and navigation safety enforcement on Lake Garda.
