The Municipality of Gargnano, through the Department of Culture, has recently announced the event “Fiera dell’Editoria: Gargnano che Legge,” an initiative dedicated to the promotion of books and reading that will enliven the town on the weekend of May 31 and June 1, 2025.
The entire event will take place from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM and will be completely free of charge. The event will primarily be held in two locations: the enchanting Cloister of San Francesco and the area of the former Town Hall.
**Author Meetings and Stands in the Cloister**
The Cloister of San Francesco will be the vibrant heart of the literary meetings, hosting direct dialogues between authors and the public.
On Saturday, May 31, the program will kick off at 10:00 AM with Paolo Cova, followed by Fiori Picco at 11:00 AM. The afternoon will feature Francesca Fiocchetti (3:00 PM), Maria Mancino (4:00 PM), Claudia Reghenzi (5:00 PM), Enrico Mirani (6:00 PM), and the duo Luce Belloli and Ignazio Lago (7:00 PM). On Sunday, June 1, the meetings will resume at 10:00 AM with Mariagrazia Fontana, followed by Davide Astori (11:00 AM), Roberto Filippini (3:00 PM), Giacomo Spinelli (4:00 PM), and Benedetta Bellucci (6:00 PM). Additionally, visitors will be able to discover the latest releases and catalogs from publishing houses specializing in adult fiction, which will have their exhibition spaces here.
### Workshops and Stands for Young Readers at the Former Town Hall
The Former Town Hall and its portico will be dedicated to young readers. Here, creative activities and workshops will take place: on Saturday at 10:30 AM, “A Book Just for Me” (Puntidivista Publishing for primary schools) and at 5:00 PM, “Sounding Drawings” (Fulmino Edizioni); on Sunday at 11:00 AM, “Have You Ever Seen a Witch?” (Casa Editrice del Faro, for ages 3-6) and at 4:00 PM, “Fairy Tales on the Move” (La Melagrana).
Under the portico of the Former Town Hall, there will also be stands from publishing houses dedicated to children’s and young adult literature, offering a comprehensive overview of reading materials for the new generations.
