A serious road accident caused major disruptions on the A4 highway between Sirmione and Desenzano in the late afternoon of Monday, July 15th. More than two cars were involved in the accident, which occurred near the Sirmione exit, causing temporary closure in the direction of Brescia. Four people were inside the vehicles involved. The Verona Sud traffic police are coordinating rescue operations with the support of the Desenzano del Garda Carabinieri and the Brescia Fire Department.
Due to the accident, traffic has been reduced to two lanes, resulting in a six-kilometer-long queue. Motorists are advised to exercise caution and consider alternative routes to avoid further delays. Authorities are working to restore normal traffic conditions as quickly as possible.
