Further benefits for residents of Riva del Garda regarding parking. The Municipal Council has decided to redefine the benefits, in collaboration with Apm, in order to facilitate the search for parking spaces for residents and customers of hospitality businesses.
The main changes concern the blue surface parking areas: all residents will pay 50 cents per hour and will receive a bonus of two hours, meaning they can leave their car for three hours at a cost of 50 cents. In addition, they will be able to use the underground parking lots Terme Romane and ex Agraria at a price of 50 cents per hour, 24 hours a day, all year round.
Residents who have a subscription for the blue surface parking areas will be able to park for free at Terme Romane and ex Agraria from 7 pm to 8 am, seven days a week, all year round.
In the expanded historic center, the area that extends north of the ZTL (Limited Traffic Zone) and coincides with the ZRU (Urban Relevance Zone), parking spaces on via Canella (37 parking spaces) and via Monte Oro (18 parking spaces) will be reserved for zone subscribers. This decision was made in anticipation of the construction of the Garda Cycle Path, which will result in the removal of some parking spaces.
Councilor Luca Grazioli explained that possible increases for non-residents during the summer period had been considered, but it was ultimately decided to wait until 2024, considering the upcoming availability of new parking spaces such as the former tennis court and the Liberty Park. These increases for non-residents will likely be introduced next year.
Some measures will take effect shortly, while others will require time for the replacement of parking meters. You can find more information about this news here.
