The celebrations for the 61st anniversary of the death of Benedetta Bianchi Porro will take place in two significant events. On Sunday, January 19, at 10:30 AM, the church of S. Maria della Neve in Sirmione will host a mass officiated by the Bishop of Verona, Monsignor Domenico Pompili. Subsequently, on Thursday, January 23, another celebration will be held at the Abbey of S. Andrea in Dovadola (Forlì), in the presence of Cardinal Marcello Semeraro and the Bishop of Forlì-Bertinoro, Monsignor Livio Corazza.
In preparation for the event, reservations are already open for the pilgrimage to Dovadola, with departure scheduled for 6:15 AM from the historic center of Sirmione, with planned stops along the way. The cost to participate is set at 50 euros per person. This anniversary takes on particular significance in light of the inclusion of the Blessed in the calendar of the Jubilee of the Universal Church, which will take place in Rome on April 5 and 6, where she will be presented as a “model during the aforementioned jubilee for the sick.” At the conclusion of the celebration on January 23, a Spirituality Center dedicated to the figure of Benedetta Bianchi Porro will be inaugurated.
