A theft occurred in Puegnago del Garda, specifically in the Mura district, on February 5th, when a pair of thieves broke into an apartment. Upon returning home in the evening, the owner came face to face with the criminals, who had ransacked the place and were attempting to escape with a haul of jewelry and valuable items. The two thieves, both young Italians, pushed the owner aside to make their getaway, likely assisted by an accomplice waiting outside.
This incident has raised concerns in the nearby village of Monteacuto, where similar thefts have been reported. Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident; however, the presence of the elderly father of the victim and the couple’s two pets heightened their sense of vulnerability. Among the stolen items were family heirlooms and collectibles that held significant sentimental value for the victims.
