A 50-year-old man was arrested in Volta Mantovana following an incident of domestic violence that escalated into threats against the Carabinieri. The alert was raised during the night of October 19-20, when an elderly mother called the authorities to report that she had been assaulted by her son. Upon the arrival of law enforcement, the man confronted them armed with two kitchen knives, threatening the Carabinieri.
To ensure the safety of everyone involved, the officers used a taser to subdue him and subsequently placed him under arrest. After a fast-track trial, the judge upheld the precautionary measure, and the man was transferred to the Mantova Correctional Facility pending further legal proceedings.
