A recent phone scam attempt occurred in Moniga, targeting an elderly resident. The man was contacted by an individual posing as a postal worker, who tried to extract information about his son under the pretense of a registered letter. Subsequently, the victim received a call from a fake carabinieri sergeant, who claimed that his son urgently needed money due to an accident.
