The first edition of the Audax del Lago di Garda will take place on Saturday, April 6, 2024. It is an international Vespa event, not a speed race, but a commemorative event with regularity tests on a mandatory route.
The event is dedicated to Vespa enthusiasts and will see the participation of 400 Vespas starting from Arco and traveling along the eastern shore of the lake to Brenzone, where they will climb the legendary Punta Veleno, reaching over 1100 meters in altitude on Monte Baldo.
After descending back to Brenzone, the participants will head to Sirmione, where the tests will take place at the Lugana di Sirmione Municipal Sports Center, followed by a lunch break. In the afternoon, the Vespa riders will present themselves at the stamp control set up in Piazzale Porto in Sirmione, where the passage stamp will be affixed to the route card.
They will then depart from Sirmione to go to Desenzano, San Felice del Benaco, Salò, Limone, and Riva del Garda. From there, they will climb up to Lake Tenno and then descend to Riva, Torbole, and Nago before returning to Arco in the evening.
The event is organized by MOTOASI, Vespa Club d’Italia, and Vespa World Club with the patronage of the Municipality of Sirmione. It is expected that this event will attract many Vespa enthusiasts from around the world, offering them the opportunity to experience a unique journey on the scenic roads of Lake Garda.
