Recently, an awards evening took place for the Gruppo Amici Podisti Bresciani at the Sanpolino Gabre Gabrich hall, provided by Fidal Brescia. The event was attended by president Rolando Perri and honored Monica Vagni and Davide Bottarelli as the best athletes of the group, recognition earned through their successes during the 2024 season. During the social evening, the awardees shared their sporting experiences with an engaged audience. Additionally, special awards were presented to the Club Sportivo San Rocchino for the conclusion of its competitive activities and to Andrea Pini for his fifty-five-year career.
Monica Vagni, who competes for Atletica Paratico, discussed her approach to training and her goals for the season, while Davide Bottarelli spoke about his future plans in mountain running and trail events. Also present was Eva Grisoni, a national athlete, who shared her experiences at the World Championships of 100 km in India. The evening concluded with applause and camaraderie, promising a new gathering next year to celebrate the local running community’s stars.
