Lake Garda has been hit again by a violent disturbance that has caused extensive damage and disruption, particularly in the Valtènesi area. In the last few hours, firefighters have been involved in around 150 operations to respond to the rescue requests of citizens.
In San Felice del Benaco, heavy rainfall caused a landslide that forced authorities to close the road leading to Raffa di Puegnago. Numerous families in the area have reported flooded basements and garages, highlighting the significant impact of the bad weather on the area.
Manerba was also not spared by the storm. According to reports from the Giornale di Brescia, the evacuation of three campsites located in the Romantica beach area is being considered. In response to the emergency, the local sports hall has been set up as a rescue hub to accommodate any evacuees.
One of the most critical incidents during the disturbance involved a woman who was trapped in her car due to the high water that had flooded the road. Fortunately, thanks to the timely intervention of a passerby, the woman was rescued without any injuries.
