The Carnevale di Bardolino is set to deliver a grand celebration on Saturday, February 22, featuring the traditional Carnevale parade that will kick off at 2 PM from Piazzale Gramsci. The event is organized by the municipality and the Bardolino Top Foundation, in collaboration with the local carnival committees. This year, however, the festivities will take place in a safer environment: an ordinance has been issued prohibiting the use of fireworks and spray cans containing confetti and foam substances.
During the event, in addition to the parade of masks through the streets of the town, there will be fun activities for all ages. Along the Lenotti lakeside, the Italian Red Cross Committee Baldo Garda will provide face painting and balloons for the little ones. Moreover, with the support of local associations such as Avis and Alpini, attendees will have the chance to savor traditional dishes like gnocchi and focaccia paired with wine. The celebration also pays homage to the myth of “Bacchus and Ariadne,” symbolizing joy and carefree spirit. At the end of the parade, awards will be given to participants, along with a communal moment for all attendees.
