The Municipality of Bardolino has recently implemented a surveillance system to combat waste dumping, acquiring six new trail cameras and two dashcams. These devices, equipped with motion sensors and night recording capabilities, will be placed in critical areas to identify offenders who illegally dispose of waste or engage in non-compliant waste disposal. The commander of the Local Police, Francesco De Santis, warned that those identified could face fines of up to 400 euros. The total investment for this equipment amounts to approximately 4,500 euros, complementing the two cameras already in use.
The Councillor for the Environment, Simone Corradini, emphasized the municipality’s commitment to fighting the issue of waste dumping and reminded residents of the availability of a free bulky waste collection service provided by Serit, which operates every third Thursday of the month by appointment. To take advantage of the service, residents can contact the dedicated toll-free number or send an email request specifying their collection needs. The next available dates for the service are November 21, December 19, and continuing into the following months.
