The Lido di Fasano, located in Gardone Riviera, is set to undergo significant transformations to improve beach accessibility. The local administration, led by Mayor Adelio Zeni, has initiated works aimed at eliminating architectural barriers that currently restrict access to the public bathing area. This intervention is part of a broader project aimed at ensuring that everyone, including individuals with reduced mobility, can fully enjoy the beach and the lake. The total investment for the project amounts to €162,700, with a substantial contribution from the Garda and Idro Lake Basin Authority.
Additionally, the municipality is pursuing the certification of the Blue Flag, which recognizes efforts towards accessible and inclusive tourism. This commitment goes beyond just the removal of physical barriers; it also includes promoting a complete and barrier-free tourist experience for both residents and visitors. Past works carried out at the nearby Casino have already demonstrated how such interventions can facilitate access not only for people with disabilities but also for the elderly and families with small children.
