The installation of the 50-meter cycle bridge over the Sarca River in Torbole was completed yesterday afternoon, Tuesday, December 17. This intervention marks an important step towards the reopening of the state road. The structure, weighing 72 tons, was installed using two cranes that positioned the three sections of the bridge: two side sections and one central section. This project is part of the works for functional unit 18 of the Garda Cycle Path, specifically the stretch between Riva and the center of Torbole, with completion expected by summer.
The bridge, made of steel and measuring 4.5 meters in width, was designed by the company INCO Srl from Pergine Valsugana (Trento), in collaboration with Bagozzi from Arco for the metal carpentry. The final touches allowed not only for the launch of the structure but also for the restoration of traffic on the S240 state road.
