At the Shrine of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in San Felice del Benaco, solemn celebrations in honor of Saint Anthony the Abbot, the patron saint of animals, will take place from January 12 to 19. The program includes a series of significant events, culminating in the traditional blessing of the animals, which will occur on January 19 after the 10 AM Mass. This celebration is a much-anticipated moment for the community, highlighting the historical and spiritual importance of Saint Anthony, renowned for his dedication to nature and animals.
During the festivities, the public will have the opportunity to participate in various events, including a historical and artistic presentation of the Shrine on January 12 and a commemorative Eucharistic celebration on January 17. Furthermore, following the blessing of the animals, there will be a parade of horses and a dog show organized by the Civil Protection of Moniga, complemented by food and wine stands. The initiative is sponsored by the Municipality of San Felice del Benaco and represents an important occasion to celebrate local traditions and the love for animals.
