Visit Brescia is targeting the Turkish market during the EMITT fair, which takes place from February 5 to 7 and is the main event in the tourism sector in Turkey. With over 85 million residents, the country ranks seventeenth in the world in terms of GDP, and its expanding middle class is showing increasing interest in Italy. Recent data on Turkish visitors to the province of Brescia, which has shown steady growth over the past three years, along with direct flights from Bergamo Orio al Serio and Malpensa, make the Turkish market a strategic opportunity to diversify tourism in Brescia.
During the fair, the Visit Brescia delegation had the opportunity to meet with Turkish operators interested in the “Brescia destination,” which includes not only the city but also Lake Garda, Lake Iseo, Franciacorta, and the Adamello. This meeting helped strengthen ties with ENIT (the Italian National Tourist Board), which had a pavilion dedicated to Italy, creating useful synergies to further promote Brescia’s tourism in the Turkish market.
