A new project for local commerce has been launched in the Brescia Garda area with the first meeting among merchant associations, organized by Confesercenti of Eastern Lombardy. The event took place yesterday afternoon, Wednesday, April 9, at the Hotel Villa Rosa in Desenzano and saw the participation of representatives from various locations such as Gardone Riviera, Salò, San Felice del Benaco, Sirmione, and Toscolano. During the meeting, the need to create a stable network among the associative entities emerged, aimed at jointly addressing the challenges of traditional commerce in a territory that welcomes over 8 million tourists each year.
The participants discussed the importance of sharing experiences and best practices to promote sustainable tourism and enhance local commerce. The meeting also analyzed the Trade Districts promoted by the Lombardy Region and the opportunities provided by non-repayable grants. The President of Confesercenti of Eastern Lombardy, Barbara Quaresmini, emphasized the importance of collaboration among local associations to transform the potential of the Lake into concrete opportunities for businesses. The scheduled periodic meetings will serve to keep this network alive and foster a constant exchange of ideas and projects.
