The Brescia Art Marathon is gearing up to kick off a unique event titled “Words in Motion,” which will begin on Friday, January 24. This initiative, organized by the Rosa Running Team, will feature three evenings at the Libreria Tarantola in Brescia, where authors will present their books related to the theme of running. The series will commence with Roberto Riccio, who will discuss his book “Running and Consciousness: A Meeting at Heart.” The subsequent presentations will be led by Andrea Accorsi on February 13 and Ivana Di Martino on February 27.
The event will culminate on Sunday, March 9, with the 23rd edition of the marathon, which includes various distances: the marathon (42.195 km), the half marathon (21.097 km), and the BCC Brescia 10k (10 km). The event is not limited to competitive racing; it also serves as a moment of social interaction and inclusion with activities such as the SPORTLANDEasy Run 10k and the Family Walking event of 5 km. By participating in the marathon, runners will also contribute to a fundraising effort for the project “This Summer I Met AVIS,” aimed at supporting students in summer recreational centers.
