A burglary shook the tranquility of Mura di Puegnago on Wednesday, February 5, around 6:30 PM, when a man returned home and came face to face with two young Italian thieves. Upon seeing the homeowner, the criminals reacted by pushing him aside to flee, leaving behind a ransacked house. During the raid, the thieves made off with jewelry and other valuable items, including personal mementos related to the elderly mother of the victim, who had passed away due to Covid.
Investigations suggest that the burglars may have entered through a side gate leading to the neighbors’ garden, indicating that they might have conducted surveillance before the break-in. The gang’s escape was swift, and it is suspected that a third accomplice was waiting for them nearby. Fortunately, despite the traumatic incident, no one was injured, and the pets were found unharmed.
