The Olympic canoe champion Giovanni De Gennaro has begun his training at the Laghetto di Desenzano on Lake Garda, selecting this location to prepare for the upcoming sports season. Recently, De Gennaro, who won a gold medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, was joined by Dario Romano, president of the Canoa Club Brescia. During the training session, the champion described the park as a “perfect gym” for winter, highlighting the area’s potential.
During his visit, De Gennaro also had the opportunity to meet with Mayor Guido Malinverno and Councillor Giovanni Maiolo, who expressed their willingness to support initiatives aimed at promoting sports among young people and in local schools. The goal is to enhance the region through the discipline of canoeing, an example of dedication and passion celebrated by the Municipality on its social media channels.
