A traffic accident occurred in Lonato del Garda on Wednesday, January 1, involving a 79-year-old driver. While navigating the narrow Via Sorattino in the historic center, the elderly man lost control of his car at the intersection with Vicolo Capuccine, overturning apparently due to high speed, as reported by several witnesses. Fortunately, no other vehicles were involved in the incident.
Following the accident, the road was temporarily closed to allow for rescue operations. The man was trapped in the vehicle until the arrival of the firefighters, who freed him. The medical personnel who responded on-site conducted medical assessments and, fortunately, only a few dressings were required, with no need for hospitalization.
