The Arco Carnival, now in its 149th edition, is set to offer a rich program of events for children over the two weekends of February 22-23 and March 1-2. This event, which has its roots in carnival traditions since 1876, will take place around the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria Assunta, where fixed stations inspired by the famous floats will be set up. Young attendees can enjoy performances on three stages: the Monsters stage and the Circus stage in Piazzale Segantini, and the Dinosaurs stage in Piazza delle Canoniche. Activities will begin at 2:30 PM and continue until 6:00 PM, featuring refreshment points and games such as the lucky wheel.
The official presentation of the Carnival took place on February 14, attended by Mayor Alessandro Betta and Pro Loco President Mario Matteotti. During the meeting, the importance of the event in engaging families and children was emphasized, thanks to the passionate work of many volunteers. This year, the event will also see the introduction of a youth group from the oratory, which will distribute gifts to the little ones, symbolizing the ongoing evolution of the event towards a more inclusive format that is increasingly focused on young participants.
