Castiglione delle Stiviere: Approval of the Natural Habitat Management Plan. The new Habitat Management Plan has recently been approved, marking an important initiative for environmental conservation and the restoration of habitats and wildlife species in the area. The approval was unanimous by the Mincio Park Community and pertains to the Site of Community Importance known as the “Morenic Complex of Castiglione delle Stiviere.” The plan, developed in collaboration with the municipality and environmental associations, provides an essential tool for protecting the morenic environment through detailed ecological analyses and operational strategies.
The regulations attached to the plan include numerous prohibitions aimed at ensuring the protection of the area, such as the ban on lighting fires, littering, or engaging in hunting activities. Interventions that could alter natural habitats, including riparian forests and arid meadows rich in biodiversity, are also prohibited. Additionally, sustainable agriculture compatible with local traditions is encouraged. With this project, Castiglione delle Stiviere reaffirms its status as a virtuous example in the field of environmental conservation, focusing on the protection of its valuable ecosystems.
