Castiglione: New Resources from the Region for Weather Damage. The Lombardy Region has decided to allocate 130,000 euros to address the damages caused by bad weather that affected the area last May, particularly on the left bank of the Vaso Riale. These funds will be managed by the Garda Chiese Irrigation Consortium and will be used to remove dangerous sections of wall and construct a new reinforced concrete retaining wall, in addition to restoring the roadside and the damaged asphalt on Via Zanardelli.
In total, the Region has made 4 million euros available for urgent interventions in the provinces of Milan, Cremona, and Mantova, following the extreme weather events that led to the declaration of a national state of emergency. The planned interventions include rescue and assistance for the population, removal of hazardous situations, and restoration of public services. Currently, regional offices are finalizing the analysis of critical issues to report to the Department of Civil Protection for further funding.
