The Brescia-based photographer Salvatore Attanasio presents his exhibition “Castles, Ghosts, and Legends” at the Lechi Museum in Montichiari, from November 2, 2024, to January 5, 2025. The exhibition features around forty black and white images printed on cotton paper, introducing a novelty for skeptics of digital photography: the use of traditional mediums. The works are curated by Fausto Lorenzi and will be displayed in four backlit rooms, accompanied by scrolls that narrate the legends and descriptions in Braille for visually impaired visitors.
Among the displayed works are fifteen backlit images of the castles of Padernello, Bornato, and Lonato del Garda, along with nineteen prints on cotton paper that explore local legends. The exhibition stands out not only for the artistic quality of the photographs but also for the accessibility provided to visitors with visual disabilities, thanks to a collaboration with the Union of the Blind and Visually Impaired of Brescia. The inauguration will take place on Saturday, November 2, at 5 PM.
