On the occasion of the 61st anniversary of the death of Benedetta Bianchi Porro, Sirmione is preparing to host two significant celebrations. The first will take place on Sunday, January 19 at 10:30 AM in the Church of S. Maria della Neve, officiated by the Bishop of Verona, Monsignor Domenico Pompili. The second ceremony will be held on January 23 at 11 AM at the Abbey of S. Andrea in Dovadola, in the presence of Cardinal Marcello Semeraro and the Bishop of Forlì-Bertinoro, Monsignor Livio Corazza.
In conjunction with these celebrations, reservations are now open for the pilgrimage to Dovadola, scheduled for January 23. A bus will depart from the historic center of Sirmione at 6:15 AM, making stops at various locations, with a cost of €50 per person. Reservations can be made at local parishes until January 17. During the celebration on January 23, a new Spirituality Center dedicated to Benedetta Bianchi Porro will also be inaugurated, which will include various services for visitors and supporters of her beatification cause.
