In the courtyard of the “G. Carducci” Primary School in S. Benedetto di Lugana, an initiative will be held to promote movement and play among young children. The event, scheduled from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm, is organized by the research group on motor development in childhood at the University of Verona in collaboration with the Municipality of Peschiera del Garda.
The day will be a unique opportunity for children and families to participate in various play and motor activities, carefully designed for different age groups ranging from infants to 10-year-olds. Students from the “Childhood and Movement: Development from 0 to 6 years” Master’s program, under the direction of Prof. Guido Fumagalli and coordinated by Dr. Patrizia Tortella, will manage the activities, ensuring a safe and fun experience for everyone.
Registration and check-in will take place in the morning from 10:30 am to 12:15 pm, and in the afternoon from 3:00 pm, with the distribution of event t-shirts while supplies last. Advance reservation is required to participate in the activities and for meal vouchers.
The activities will be organized in age-specific groups, including:
– 0 to 12 months
– 1 to 3 years
– 3 to 5 years
– 6 to 10 years
Parents or guardians are required to be present during the activities, contributing to a familiar and safe environment. After lunch provided by the Municipality of Peschiera del Garda at the local bocce court, the activities will resume until the event closes at 5:00 pm.
It is recommended to wear comfortable and suitable clothing, including for water games. The event will take place even in case of rain, with an indoor alternative in the school gymnasium. Childcare is not provided, so the constant presence of an adult companion is necessary.
This initiative represents an excellent opportunity to stimulate the motor and social development of children through play and interaction, with the safety and expertise guaranteed by the academic field and institutional collaboration.
Reservation is only required for lunch by filling out the form at the link [https://forms.gle/Ked2Pp2e2WePmhY97](https://forms.gle/Ked2Pp2e2WePmhY97), while access to the activities is free.
