The May Day weekend promises to be full of film events at the Community Hall in Via Rosmini 5, Riva del Garda. The festival, organized by the Alto Garda and Ledro Valley Community, along with the municipalities of Arco, Drena, Ledro, Nago-Torbole, Riva del Garda, and Tenno, offers a diverse range of films, from biographical musicals to thematic documentaries.
The film “Back to Black,” directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and starring Marisa Abela and Ryan O’Doherty among others, will be screened on Saturday, April 27th at 9 pm and Sunday, April 28th at 8 pm. The film is a biographical work that combines drama and music in an intense narrative from the United States, with a release date set for 2024.
Next up is “Kung Fu Panda 4,” an animated film directed by Mike Mitchell and Stephanie Stine, scheduled for Sunday, April 28th at 5 pm. This new installment in the popular animated series promises new adventures and fun for all fans of the beloved characters.
To celebrate International Earth Day, the Norwegian documentary “The Song of the Earth” will be shown on Monday, April 29th at 8 pm and Tuesday, April 30th at 9 pm. Directed by Margreth Olin and featuring Jørgen Mykløen and Magnhild Kongsjord Mykløen, the film has a duration of 90 minutes and explores profound environmental themes through a reflective cinematic approach.
Tickets for the screenings cost €7 for adults and €5 for concessions, including those over 65, minors under 14, and students up to 25 years old. The ticket office will open half an hour before the start of the screenings.
