The Committee “Let’s Keep the Desenzano Hospital at Montecroce” has recently renewed its request for a meeting with Mayor Malinverno, following statements that appear to oppose the construction of a new hospital in the area. The committee emphasized that as many as 7,700 citizens have signed a petition calling for the upgrading and modernization of the Montecroce Hospital, highlighting that such voices cannot be ignored by local institutions. Citizen participation, deemed essential during election campaigns, must continue through constructive dialogue with the authorities.
To promote a transparent and participatory discussion, the Committee invites residents of the Garda Area 11 to contact their mayors to learn about the Administration’s stance on the future of the hospital and the possibility of submitting a request to the Lombardy Region for a feasibility study. The Committee insists on the necessity of actively involving citizens in decisions regarding the Desenzano Hospital, asserting that participatory democracy must translate into concrete commitments from institutions.
