The committee “Let’s Keep the Hospital of Desenzano on Montecroce” has recently requested the convening of the Assembly of Mayors to discuss the new hospital in Desenzano del Garda, following the approval of the Feasibility Study with Decree No. 639 dated December 27, 2023. The committee emphasized the need for a public meeting to ensure that the healthcare needs of citizens are not compromised, given that the new project proposes a significant reduction in both the number of beds and the covered area compared to the current facility.
In a statement, the committee expressed concern over the lack of responses from some mayors regarding previous requests and reiterated the importance of a transparent and participatory decision-making process. The call for a public meeting is seen as essential to inform the community about the activities of the Assembly of Mayors and the implementation of the decree, thereby highlighting the citizens’ desire to be actively involved in decisions that will affect the future of local healthcare.
