On Sunday, May 19th, the church of Sant’Antonio in Lonato will host the second event of the music festival “Classica a Sant’Antonio”. This event will feature Pietro Milzani on the violin and Caterina Artuso on the harp. The festival, which has already achieved considerable success with the first concert performed by young saxophonists led by maestro Gianni Alberti, promises to continue on this path.
A program of quality
The music festival “Classica a Sant’Antonio” is curated by the artistic director Giuseppe Laffranchini, known for being the first cello of the Orchestra della Scala in Milan. His experience and passion guarantee concerts of high artistic level. The first event also featured the highly appreciated world premiere of the Suite Italienne composed by Michel Rivière, who was present in the audience with his wife Cecile.
The historical and naturalistic context
The church of Sant’Antonio, located in the historic center of Lonato, offers a unique architectural and naturalistic context. Surrounded by medieval walls and close to the Casa del Podestà and the Rocca visconteo-veneta, the location adds further charm to the scheduled musical events.
