Following a landslide that occurred on Sunday evening, the 45bis state road, known as the Gardesana Occidentale, remains closed between via Renzano and via del Seminario. This situation has caused significant disruptions to traffic, with vehicles being diverted through the center of Salò, which is now congested.
The technicians from Anas are currently conducting surveys to assess the damages and plan the necessary interventions. In the meantime, access to via Renzano is possible via via Belvedere, while via del Seminario can be reached from Barbarano. The aim is to restore normal traffic flow as soon as possible, but no specific timeframe has been provided at the moment.
The closure of the Gardesana has had a significant impact on local traffic. The alternative routes being used to bypass the landslide area are causing delays and queues in the center of Salò. Additionally, work is underway in the San Bartolomeo and Serniga districts to clear access roads blocked by the landslide.
The Municipality of Salò has expressed gratitude to all those who have contributed to managing the emergency. In an official statement, they said: “We would like to thank all the citizens, the Local Police, the municipal technicians and employees, the Fire Brigade, and the Volunteers of Garda who, yesterday, made their contribution to oversee and minimize the inconveniences caused by the numerous landslide situations that occurred following the exceptional rainfall.”
