A new overpass will be constructed in Calcinato, resulting in the closure of the A4 motorway between Desenzano and Sirmione. The motorway section will be closed in both directions from 10:00 PM on Saturday, November 30, until 5:00 AM on Sunday, December 1. The operations, entrusted to the Cepav Due Consortium, are part of the project for the Brescia-Verona Lot of the High-Speed Railway Line from Turin to Venice and concern kilometer 245+950 of the A4 Brescia – Padua motorway.
During the closure, vehicles heading to Milan will be diverted at the Sirmione toll booth, while those heading to Venice will need to exit at the Desenzano toll booth. Both groups will be able to re-enter the motorway via S.R.11. Additionally, the entry ramps towards Milan at the Sirmione toll booth and towards Venice at the Desenzano toll booth will also be closed. The company has announced that efforts will be made to reopen the section ahead of the scheduled time.
