The Province of Brescia has announced that SP 38 Tignalga will remain open as a one-way road until Monday, April 8th, and will then be closed to traffic again. The road was reopened during the Easter holidays, but will only be passable with alternating one-way traffic until the aforementioned date.
The subsequent closure will be necessary to complete the safety measures on the slope that collapsed last October. The company commissioned by the Province will carry out the necessary piling work before Tignalga can be reopened with alternating one-way traffic. The work is expected to be completed by the end of May.
These closures will cause inconvenience especially to residents and operators in Tremosine, as the town can only be reached from the north via SP 115 that climbs from Limone. Only after the end of the summer works will traffic on SP 38 Tignalga be finally restored in both directions.
