Two young North Africans have been reported for the coin scam that took place at the train station in Peschiera del Garda. The incident was reported on Thursday, November 14, when a traveler, distracted by the fall of some coins, fell victim to the theft of his backpack containing a computer. The criminals took advantage of the situation to seize the luggage and flee.
The Railway Police, alerted by the traveler, managed to intercept the two thieves as they attempted to board another train. A 17-year-old boy and a 25-year-old man were found in possession of the stolen backpack. Both have been reported and investigated for complicity in receiving stolen goods; the minor has been placed in a protective facility by order of the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Juvenile Court of Venice.
