Delays on railway lines: refunds expected for commuters Due to the delays recorded in November, Lombardy commuters using 23 railway lines will be entitled to receive a partial refund. Trenord has officially announced this decision, which is based on data regarding canceled services or delays exceeding 15 minutes. Refunds are triggered when disruptions exceed 10% of the total services. In the province of Brescia, the lines most affected include the Verona-Brescia-Treviglio-Milan route, with a delay rate of 11.91%, the Brescia-Piadena-Parma line at 15.13%, and the Brescia-Iseo-Edolo line, which reached 16.22%.
For users of the affected routes, the compensation will amount to 30% of the monthly subscription value; for those with annual subscriptions, a refund equivalent to 1/12 of the total amount is expected. Integrated subscriptions will receive compensation calculated at 10% of Trenord’s fare component.
