A municipal employee from **Concesio** has been placed under house arrest by the **Guardia di Finanza** for alleged **illicit payments** amounting to over 355,000 euros. The investigation, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Brescia, revealed that the official, authorized to operate on the municipality’s treasury account, had made numerous money transfers to her personal account from 2021 to the present. The inquiry was initiated after anomalies in the bank accounts were reported by the bank and the local authority itself.
In addition to the personal precautionary measure, law enforcement executed the seizure of equivalent assets, including bank accounts, vehicles, and real estate. The employee allegedly concealed the improper payments by using seemingly legitimate payment orders, justifying them with altered documentation related to the Revenue Agency. Investigations are ongoing to verify any irregularities prior to 2021.
