A 27-year-old man from Bangladesh has been reported by the Carabinieri for possession of forged documents after being stopped while riding a scooter in Castiglione delle Stiviere. The incident occurred during a recent traffic control when the young man presented an international driving permit that turned out to be counterfeit. The officers from the Operational and Radiomobile Unit immediately verified the forgery, confiscating the document and initiating the administrative seizure of the scooter for a period of three months.
The young man has been referred to the Judicial Authority for forgery committed by a private individual, pending the commencement of legal proceedings. This intervention highlights the efforts of the Carabinieri in combating crimes related to road traffic and the use of counterfeit documents in the area.
