A course dedicated to the prevention of scams targeting seniors will begin in Gavardo on Friday, January 17, with the first of three sessions organized in collaboration with the Local Police of Valle Sabbia. This initiative aims to combat the growing phenomenon of scams affecting citizens over 60 by providing useful information and sharing personal experiences. The meetings will take place from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM at various venues, including the “C. Zane” Auditorium and local community centers.
The sessions are scheduled for January 17, Thursday, January 20, and Wednesday, March 26, 2025. As emphasized by the Local Police, the main goal of the course is to equip seniors with informational tools so they can recognize and defend themselves against scams, thereby reducing the risks associated with this unfortunate phenomenon.
