The XXXVI Cross of Bedizzole, a traditional Brescia event marking the start of the cross-country running season, took place on Epiphany, organized by Atletica Bedizzole under the presidency of Mario Barba. The event, dedicated to the memory of Roberta Borghi and the first Trofeo Azienda Agricola Monteroseo, saw the participation of 253 athletes at a new location at the Azienda Agricola Monteroseo, where a selective and challenging course was laid out. In the first race, reserved for various master categories for both women and men over 65, Nicola Nassini from Rebo Gussago triumphed with a time of 14’02”, followed by Valentina Ducoli for the juniors and Silvia Casella among the master women.
The competition continued with additional races over distances of 6 km and 8 km. Manuel Franchi from Atletica Paratico secured victory in the second race with a time of 21’07”, while Marco Losio, also from Atletica Paratico, claimed the win in the third event with a time of 19’51”. Finally, in the concluding race for the seniors over 8 km, Francesco Vicini from Atletica Vallecamonica crossed the finish line first in 26’21”. The event highlighted the commitment of local athletes and the vibrancy of the running community in the region.
