The new collection center in Cunettone has been operational since January 27, providing an important service for blood donation in Salò and the surrounding municipalities. Located at Via Fermi 7, near the Salò 2 shopping center, the center will be managed by the Avis Salò, Gavardo, and Valtenesi sections, enabling the collection of approximately 5,000 blood bags each year thanks to the generosity of donors. The president of Avis Salò, Gianluca Banalotti, emphasized the significance of moving from the old location in the historic center to this new, modern, and well-equipped facility.
The property was purchased in 2021 by the Provincial Avis of Brescia with significant funding and subsequently renovated to meet necessary health requirements. The new location features a total area of 470 square meters dedicated to blood draws and offices, thus ensuring adequate space to accommodate donors. Donations will be possible every day from Monday to Friday, while plasma donations can be made from Monday to Thursday. The booking procedures have been updated and now include contact options via WhatsApp and phone calls.
