On October 17th in Torbole, the operations for the installation of the cycling bridge over the Sarca River were completed, marking an important infrastructure project that is part of the Lake Garda cycle path. The new structure, measuring 50 meters in length and 4.5 meters in width, weighs 72 tons and allows cyclists to safely traverse the route connecting Riva to central Torbole. The project was carried out alongside State Road 240 and required the use of two cranes to position the three sections of the bridge.
The companies involved in the project are INCO Srl from Pergine Valsugana, which was awarded the contract, and Bagozzi from Arco, specializing in metal carpentry. This intervention is part of the works for functional unit 18 of the Lake Garda cycle path, with completion expected by next summer. With the reopening of the road following the final touches, residents and tourists can now enjoy a safer and more direct connection between the coastal towns.
