Tomorrow morning, a protest march titled “The March of the Invisible” will take place in Desenzano, organized by the committee “Let’s Keep Desenzano Hospital at Montecroce” to demand the renovation of the local hospital. The gathering is set for 9:30 AM in Garibaldi Square, from where participants will walk to the hospital at Montecroce, with an expected arrival in Malvezzi Square around 11:45 AM. Despite having collected 8,000 signatures in support of their cause, committee members complain of not being heard by the authorities and are calling for a public discussion regarding decisions about the future of the hospital.
The committee argues that renovating the current facility would be a more advantageous solution compared to building a new hospital, as it would allow for the preservation of already invested resources and reduce land consumption. Through their initiative, the protesters aim to emphasize the importance of civic participation in decisions that affect the community, hoping for an open dialogue with local administrators. The day after tomorrow, further actions are planned, including a possible sit-in in front of the Pirellone to make their voices heard at the regional level.
