Desenzano: Auser Celebrates 25 Years of Community Support. The historic association, active since February 2000, has provided assistance to approximately 300 users across Desenzano, Rivoltella, San Martino, and Sirmione, thanks to the dedication of around thirty volunteers. Over the years, Auser has evolved from a small group into a vital entity for supporting individuals in need, particularly in providing transportation to healthcare facilities. Recently, the association celebrated its quarter-century milestone with the presentation of a commemorative plaque to the volunteers by Pietro Prevedoni, president of Auser Comprensorio di Brescia.
The annual service offers around 2,500 transports and includes a low-cost insurance card to ensure free assistance for those in need. With the intention of expanding its activities in the coming year, Auser aims to implement a home medication delivery service and discounted offers for healthcare products. The association continues to seek new volunteers to further enhance the community support provided and invites anyone interested in contributing or in need of services to contact the local office.
