The committee “Let’s Keep the Hospital in Desenzano on Montecroce” has officially requested the convening of the Assembly of Mayors to discuss the new hospital in Desenzano del Garda, following the approval of Decree No. 639 dated December 27, 2023, which initiated the Feasibility Study for its construction. The President of the Assembly, Luisa Lavelli, has been contacted by the committee to clarify whether a date for the meeting has already been set, emphasizing the importance of involving the 22 municipalities of Area 11 Garda in territorial and health planning.
In addition to the request for the assembly’s convening, the committee has proposed a public meeting to inform citizens about the decisions made and the implementation of the decree. Despite past difficulties in receiving responses from various mayors, the committee hopes that this time the institutions will adhere to regulatory standards and ensure an open and transparent discussion regarding the changes brought about by the construction of the new hospital, which is essential for safeguarding the healthcare needs of the local community.
