An important meeting on soft mobility and bike tourism will take place in Desenzano del Garda on Saturday, March 29, starting at 10 AM, at the Sala della Musa in the Villa Brunati library. This event, part of the Sustainability Festival, aims to promote the area as a European bike tourism district through the development of new pedestrian and cycling infrastructures that will connect Lake Garda with the morainic hills up to Mantova. The Gardesani Cultural Operators emphasize the importance of encouraging hospitality for bike tourists and fostering sustainable experiences for both residents and visitors.
The program will include institutional greetings followed by presentations from experts such as Luigi Del Prete, president of the Gardesani Cultural Operators Association, and Dr. Dauro Mattia Zocchi from the University of Bergamo, who will present the Charter of Sustainable Food and Wine Tourism. Additionally, engineer Enrico Chiarini will discuss soft mobility and the widespread cycling networks. The meeting will conclude with an open debate for the public, aiming to engage tourism operators and local administrators. Participation is free and open to all.
