A tragic accident occurred this morning around 5:30 on SP11, near the exit for Sirmione, San Martino, and Pozzolengo, heading towards Verona. A 45-year-old motorcyclist from Ponti sul Mincio in Mantua crashed into a road construction site for reasons yet to be determined. Despite the prompt intervention of an ambulance and two medical cars, the man died at the scene.
The highway police have taken over the investigation to determine the dynamics of the accident. The tragedy has left the local community devastated and once again highlights the importance of road safety, especially in the early hours of the day when visibility can be reduced.
