The Desenzano del Garda police have successfully carried out a drug operation, resulting in the arrest of one individual and the reporting of another for drug possession. The operation, coordinated by the Anti-Crime section, the Territorial Control Office of the police station, and the K-9 Unit, was initiated after observing suspicious activity near a local residence.
The Infallible Nose of Leone
A man of Albanian origin, residing in the Verona area, was stopped by the authorities on charges of possessing drugs intended for distribution. The drug-sniffing dog, Leone, played a crucial role in the operation by detecting the presence of narcotics inside the suspect’s car. Forty heat-sealed packages containing cocaine were found hidden in the air conditioning vent and armrest handle of the vehicle. Additionally, during the search, one thousand euros in cash were discovered.
Drug Possession Report
During the operation, the authorities noticed another individual approaching the arrested person’s car shortly before their intervention. This second individual was reported for drug possession in a state of freedom after a subsequent search of their residence led to the discovery of marijuana.
