A new earthquake in Valsabbia was felt as far as Lake Garda, recorded last night, Monday, December 30, around 8:30 PM. The quake had a magnitude of 2.1, and its epicenter was located 11 kilometers deep near the locality of Marguzzo in Paitone. Although the tremor was perceived in several surrounding areas, including Gavardo, Calvagese, and Valtènesi with municipalities like Villanuova and Bedizzole, no damage to people or property has been reported.
This seismic event marks the second occurrence recorded in the same area within two weeks; the previous earthquake took place on December 17 with a magnitude of 2.7 at 4 AM, also between Paitone and Gavardo. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation for any potential developments.
